Sohki by Naka Inc. · Last updated: October 29, 2026

Naka Inc. operates Sohki, a service for saving knowledge and practicing it through connected AI chat apps. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our website, account services, and MCP server. Contact us with the chat bubble in the corner of any page.

Information we handle

  • Your email address, account identifier, sign-in and connected-app authorization records.
  • The note titles, Markdown text, links, tags, and other context you choose to send to Sohki through your chat app.
  • Review results and corrections, schedules, learning history, daily progress, streaks, timezone settings, plan eligibility, and usage records.
  • Subscription status and payment-provider references. Payment details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages; Sohki does not receive your full card number or security code.
  • Support messages and technical records needed to operate and secure the service, such as request, error, network, browser, and authentication information.

How we use information

We use this information to sign you in, save and organize your notes, schedule and record practice, calculate progress and usage limits, manage subscriptions, answer support requests, maintain service reliability and security, and understand how people find and use Sohki. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Connected AI chat apps

When you connect a chat app, it can send requests and receive information through Sohki’s tools under your account and its authorization. This can include reading or changing notes, recording practice, and reading account and subscription status. Review the app’s permissions and any action confirmations before connecting or using it.

Sohki receives the information sent through those tool requests, rather than automatically receiving your entire conversation. The chat app can see information returned by tools, including saved note content. Its own privacy, retention, and AI training settings apply to information it handles. Use the chat app’s connection settings to disconnect Sohki, or contact us for help revoking access. Removing a connection does not erase information the app already received.

Service providers

We use providers needed to operate Sohki:

  • Supabase for accounts, authorization, the database, and backend functions.
  • Vercel for website and MCP hosting.
  • Amazon Web Services for sign-in email delivery through Amazon SES.
  • Stripe for checkout, subscription management, and payment records.
  • PostHog for product analytics, including the usage information described below.
  • Chatwoot for the support chat, including your messages and any email address you leave there. If you leave the chat before we reply, Chatwoot emails our reply to that address.

Providers process information needed for their services. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where these providers operate. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.

Browser storage and analytics

The website keeps you signed in with a sign-in cookie. sohki.ai and the Sohki web app at app.sohki.ai share it, so signing in on one signs you in on the other. Signing out removes it on both; it does not revoke a chat app’s existing authorization. If you pick a language in the website’s language menu, browser storage also remembers it, so sign-in and billing pages open in that language.

The support chat loads from Chatwoot only when you point at, tap or select the chat bubble. Chatwoot then keeps a chat session in cookies and browser storage so your conversation continues when you come back. Pages where you haven’t reached for the chat bubble don’t contact Chatwoot.

Our backend records in PostHog when an account is created, with its account identifier, email address, and sign-in method. It also records each Sohki tool a connected chat app uses, with the tool’s name and which chat app called it, linked to your account. These records never include note content or your conversations.

Only if you accept the website’s cookie banner, the website also records the pages you visit, the link or campaign that brought you to Sohki, your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. If you decline, none of this is collected. To change your choice, clear the cookies for sohki.ai and answer the banner again. We use this information only to understand how people find and use Sohki. Sohki does not use advertising trackers or session replay.

Retention and your choices

We retain your account and saved information while needed to provide the service. You can ask your connected AI to edit or delete notes, subject to the service’s access and usage limits. Deleting a note removes its content and associated note history from active storage; content-free usage, retry, and previously earned daily progress records may remain.

To request access, correction, or account deletion, message us with the chat bubble and include your account’s email address. For deletion, start with “Delete account — Sohki”. Before acting, we confirm the request by emailing that address. We may retain limited records needed for legal, billing, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Deleted information may remain in routine backups until those backups expire. Your chat app manages its own copies separately.

Children’s privacy

Sohki is a general-purpose service and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, message us with the chat bubble so we can review and address the situation.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Changes and contact

We will update the date on this page when this policy changes and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Questions or privacy requests: message us with the chat bubble.
